My three sons and I started HutHound.com, after operating a successful real estate portfolio. We decided to develop HutHound due to the West Michigan real estate values declining. We believe if an owner can sell their house without a realtor, the seller should be able to reduce their price by 3%. With the average realtor getting a 6% commission, the seller will collect 3% more than if they had used a realtor. The buyer will also save 3%. This win-win situation is the “HutHound Way.” Buyers start out with less debt and sellers retain more of their equity.
