I have a degree in Business Admin. from Northwestern Univ., Chicago, IL. Spent 25 years with one of the "30 Industrials", both domestic and overseas as a Regional Manager. Travelled extensively thruout Europe, Africa and the Mid-east. Became an Investor in multi-family properties and eventually left the Company to go into Real Estate full time.
I found it very profitable in the 80's to rehab condos and single family homes before it became so obviously popular and profitable in recent years.
Owned and managed smaller apartment complexes along with a Mobile Home park and a motel. Decided to sell all the investment properties and became a licensed Realtor in 1981 and received my Broker's lic. in 1987. I am now primarily selling condos and single family homes full time. I now work as a Broker-Assoc. for the largest R.E. Broker in the State of Fl and wouldn't change a thing !

In my 27 years of selling R.E. Never have I been asked " Should I disclose something". I make it a point to tell every buyer to get a Home Inspection, by someone of their choice and to make sure the Inspector has a lot of training and experience ! You should also be offering a "Sellers Home Disclosure" signed by the seller. And , finally, Offer a Home Warranty ! As they say in the world of Boxing, "Protect your self at all times " ! If a Realtor recommends an inspector, you are opening yourself to being party to a possibly poor quality inspection and no Realtor needs to go to court ! It's too easy to avoid problems. If someone asks who I recommend as an inspector, I simply tell them to look in the Yellow Pages and get references !
