Marcie Geffner is veteran real estate reporter and commentator whose news stories, features and columns have been published by Inman News, Realty Times, Bankrate.com, California Real Estate magazine, REALTOR magazine, Affordable Housing Finance magazine, the Los Angeles Times and many other publications. She is also a former managing editor of Inman News and board member of the National Association of Real Estate Editors (NAREE).
Marcie earned a bachelor's degree in English from UCLA and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
She's a second-generation native and lifelong resident of Los Angeles.

    As a second-generation native and lifelong resident of Los Angeles, I'm downright dismayed at the ruination of my beloved hometown newspaper. Not only is the Real Estate section gone, but the paper has shrunk and the ad-edit ratio is completely out of control. Lauren Beale is a wonderful editor as was her predecessor Dick Barnes, and I'm sure the section will be badly missed as more readers catch on to the fact that it is indeed gone. My grandmother so treasured some of the feature stories I wrote for Lauren and Dick that she had them framed and hung them on her walls like artwork. Marcie Geffner, www.marciegeffner.blogspot.com
