I am the President and founder of Single Property Sites and the Blue Fire Group.

Single Property Sites (SPS) http://www.singlepropertysites.com is a listings marketing system that allows real estate professionals to enter listing data and automatically create an elegant website dedicated to a single property. SPS then automates the marketing of listings with a comprehensive service including widgets, syndications, auto-postings to craigslist, virtual tour, print flyers and more.

    Agents certainly do need to specialize - web sites that attempt to appeal to sellers and buyers and multiple niche markets are difficult to market. For Listing Agents, if you really want to win the listing, then get a marketing plan and web strategy in line with that goal. Too many agents have websites that are all about 'me' , 'my brand' and 'my brokerage' - get back to marketing - focus your marketing plan on the seller an their home. Our recent "never lose a listing" initiatives at SPS are based on the success Listing Agents are having winning listings with a marketing approach that is radically different.
